• Friday 13 December 2024 Shine, Star, Shine Christmas Production Yesterday, we welcomed parents in for the Foundation and Reception Christmas performance. This year, the children performed the nativity ‘Shine, Star, Shine,’ which tells the story of a big star, who must light the way to the stable where Jesus has been born, but he can't shine. It takes help from the other stars and love from Jesus, to ultimately give the big star the strength to shine again.

• Wednesday 11 December 2024 Father Christmas Visits Waverley! Earlier today, the Nursery received a very special visit from Father Christmas! We all know that it is a very busy time of year for him, but luckily he managed to find time in his busy schedule to pop by.

• Tuesday 3 December 2024 Waverley is now part of Operation Encompass We are pleased to confirm that Waverley has become a member of Operation Encompass. This is a new national scheme that operates jointly between schools and police forces. The scheme ensures that domestic abuse incidents are now reported to a child’s school / Nursery prior to the start of the next day of school. Mr Mitchell, our Designated Safeguarding Lead, has been trained in the Operation Encompass procedures to ensure that, in confidence, Waverley can promptly support the children in our care if such an incident occurs.

• Monday 25 November 2024 Waverley Nursery Reindeer Visit Last week, the Nursery received a very special visit from two of Santa’s reindeer! Jet and Flash from Riverways Farm managed to find some time away from their endurance training to visit us all. The children were extremely excited and thoroughly enjoyed stroking and feeding them! • Thursday 21 November 2024 Welcoming our Parents to Ballet Watching Week This week, our Nursery 3 and Foundation children thoroughly enjoyed showing their ballet talents off to their parents. We held our termly Ballet Watching Week where we invite parents and grandparents to see what we have learned in our ballet classes at Nursery.

• Tuesday 8 October 2024 Nursery celebrates Modern Foreign Languages Day Nursery had great fun joining in with Modern Foreign Languages Day at Waverley! Children were encouraged to dress up in costumes representing countries from around the world and we practised saying 'hello' in Spanish, French, German, Russian and many other languages.

• Saturday 28 September 2024 Second Hand Uniform Now Available Online We are thrilled to announce that all Waverley second hand uniform is available to view and purchase online. Stock is picked on Fridays and will be available for collection in the school office on the Friday after you place your order. If you are not happy with your order, please contact the uniform representatives via uniform@waverleyschool.co.uk who will arrange alternative sizes and refunds.
• Thursday 12 September 2024 Teddy Bears Picnic in Nursery 1 Our new Babies who have recently joined us in Nursery 1 enjoyed a Teddy Bears Picnic on Monday. The Babies, and educators!, brought in their own favourite teddies from home on Monday to celebrate Teddy Day at Nursery 1. The babies enjoyed sharing the teddy bears and giving them lots of cuddles. We had a Teddy Bear's Picnic for the toys and read story books all about teddies, toys, and bears together during group time and activities.

• Tuesday 13 February 2024 Chinese New Year Celebrations At Waverley Nursery Our Nursery children have been taking part in multitude of Chinese New Year celebrations. These included our Babies using pincers and fingers to find Chinese images and objects in a red spaghetti tray.
